Clifden Arts Festival
A celebration of music, art and poetry in the capital of Connemara at the end of September.
September 2009 marked 32 years of the annual arts festival in the Connemara captial of Clifden, which has grown from a small community event in to one with a packed programme of events playing to an international audience.
With music, song, dance, drama, comedy, poetry, readings and concerts as well as an always imaginative and strong children's programme, the festival has something for everyone. Still very much a community effort, events and exhibitions take place in just about every available space.
