Whether you stroll along the picturesque coastline or connect with its friendly locals, Galway offers a unique experience for everyone. With fabulous restaurants and diners, from bistro style to Michelin grades, there is a passion for food here with fresh local produce at the forefront of culinary creations. Not to forget the precious Irish Pub, if you come to Galway, you wont be disappointed with some of Ireland's best watering holes, from traditional to funky, little and large, the Galway Irish pub scene is legendary.
Festivals in Galway take place right throughout the year from St. Patrick's Day in March to the Comedy Festival in October. The Galway Film Fleadh kicks off the summer festival time and then the BIG TWO events of the year follow, the Galway International Arts Festival and the Galway Races in July & early August.
With so much to see and do during the busy summer months, a visit to Galway City must include a day trip to Connemara, the Aran Islands or in our neighbouring County Clare, the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher should be on your to do list.
